Adding a livestream to your event

1. Go to your Home page and click the blue button in the bottom right-hand corner.

2. Click on TURN FEATURES ON/OFF.

Then click the toggle button beside Livestream to turn this feature on for this event.

3. Once turned on, you can set up your livestream configurations.

Configuring your livestream

There are 5 things you can configure for your livestream:

Note: The start time and URL are required in order to set up a livestream.

  1. The time and date of when the livestream will start
  2. The time and date of when the livestream will finish
  3. The timezone of the start and finish dates
  4. The URL (source) of the livestream
  5. Enable or disable autopilot

1. Start, Finish and Timezone: Click on Start and Finish to open the calendar window. Select a date, then select a time and press OK to save. Then choose a timezone for these dates from the Timezone dropdown. By default, the timezone will the same as the one you selected when creating this event.

2. Livestream URL: In order to add your livestream to your event, you will need to add your livestream's embed information. Click on the URL setting and paste your livestream embed code inside the text box. Once you paste in your code, click out of the textbox and BuzzIt will extract the livestream URL for you.

After adding the livestream embed information, you will see a preview of your livestream. Click CONFIRM CHANGES to save.

3. Autopilot: Click on autopilot and use the toggle button to either enable or disable this feature.

If you enable autopilot, your livestream will automatically become visible to your attendees at the livestream start time. Once the livestream start time is reached, the attendees will see this livestream view:

Tip: We recommend you leave autopilot enabled.

If you disable autopilot, at the livestream start time, your attendees will see a WATCH NOW button on the Home page; which they can click to open the livestream view.

4. After filling out all the details of your livestream configuration, click CONFIRM CHANGES to save.

5. Now on the Home page you can see a livestream countdown timer with a SHOW LIVESTREAM button and another SHOW LIVESTREAM button over the top event banner area. You can click on either to switch to the livestream view.

6. You can always change these configurations at any time. Just click the blue button on the bottom right of the Home page and then click LIVESTREAM CONFIG to open the livestream configuration settings again.
